Tonight we bathed the kids separately for the first time. They are getting so big that any quick movement in the tub causes a small tidal wave. It's also a "monkey see, monkey do" world in our home so any silliness is instantly contagious. Bathtime is notorious for breeding silliness. Having boy/girl twins, we knew that one day we would need to separate them and this was as good a time as any. They didn't miss each other at all and they enjoyed having plenty of room to play with their toys.
While Taigen was bathing Marshall, I played with Shaylen in her room with her Little People Sweet Sounds Home. It was a good time of one-on-one. I'll be looking forward to more times like this with her.

At one point in our play, Shaylen grabbed a girl doll ("Ming") and had her hop into the orange car and tell "Joe" that she was going to go and get some coffee. She drove the car to Marshall's room and came back and offered some tea to "Joe". "Joe" said how thoughtful it was that she had brought him some tea. "Ming" said that she had gotten coffee.
"What kind of coffee is it?" asked "Joe". (This is something Shaylen asks me every morning.)
"A strawberry mocha...from Starbucks."
That's my girl!
