This vacation was so good! I felt like we had plenty of time to relax, plenty of time to make memories and plenty of time for the kids to get to know the family...again. There's always the time to have to say goodbye though and that's never fun.Ralph, Karen, Chris and Brett took time off of work on Friday to take the kids to the zoo. It was one of the things Karen promised the kids via the phone early on in the year when we booked our tickets. The kids have been looking forward to it for a long time.
After the zoo, we all congregated at Ralph and Karen's for pizza, the final Dutch Blitz championship game (Brett won...can you believe it?), last minute checking of email and then the goodbyes. Our flight was leaving early on Saturday morning and we had to bid farewell to everyone tonight. Those are never easy to do. Seeing tears in Ralph's eyes doesn't help matters either.
Marshall wasn't in the "picture mood", so all of his snapshots with family are taken without his knowing. Shaylen cooperated nicely and the shots that will follow are priceless.
We had such a great time and we can't wait until we can get back out to Seattle again. Thanks guys!
