We were attempting to self-check in and the computer was giving us fits. Suddenly an airline worker told everyone that if they were on the 7:00 a.m. flight to JFK, it was cancelled. There was a scramble to the courtesy telephones and Taigen quickly got us booked to Salt Lake City, then to Cincinnati, OH and from there we would get into
We got checked in and as we were waiting for our flight to Salt Lake, Taigen mentioned to me that we had better make all our connections in a timely way, because our Cincinnati lay-over was only 45 minutes.
We flew from Seattle to Salt Lake City with no problems and when we got to our appropriate gate for our Cincinnati flight, we noticed that our flight was leaving an hour later than originally scheduled. Taigen quickly went down to the Delta desk and had to do some finagling in order to get us home. They offered him several options, but what they didn't realize is that we were
So, we had to wait for over four hours in an airport terminal. The kids were antsy to get on the plane and were tired from a vacation which included next to no naps. We pulled out a secret weapon that we hardly ever use...TV. Taigen went and
Mike and Brenda Bowman were so gracious to come and pick us up in Boston (a two hour drive for them) and take us home (another two hour drive). They deserve a medal or something.
It was sooooo good to be home and we finally got to sleep around 3 a.m.
