Thirty Years Ago

It was probably thirty years ago that Taigen wore this exact same sweater. Grandma Rutledge knitted it for him. Last year, my mother in law, Sherry, pulled it out of storage, washed it, fixed the zipper and mailed it to Marshall. It was a bit too big and so I put it away, hoping that this winter it would work for him. He wore it to church tonight and proudly told everyone that it was "my Daddy's sweater".
