Shortly after I posted the pictures of our Wednesday night/Thursday morning storm, our power went out. The snow came down in great amounts and it was very wet and heavy. This caused many of the tree limbs to buckle and fall on power lines.
We were without power from around 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. today. Our heat had been on at the time of the outage so the house stayed comfortable throughout the day Thursday, but there was no hot water for baths, and therefore no hot water for our heat today. It was around 53 degrees in our basement today, 60 degrees on the main floor and around 57 degrees upstairs where the bedrooms are. Brrr! We bundled up and sat in the sunshine today and read books, colored at the kitchen table and played with their little plastic animals. What a joy it was when things clicked back on! It reminded me to not take our electricity for granted.
Our apologies to those who tried to contact us during the outage times. Our phone is connected to our power supply.
